So punk wasn’t scheduled for this weeks show but when he found out Bret was gonna be on, he called Fox and told em he wanted to be on as well. I believe it’s the first time Punk has done this. Should be an interesting watch. They really should just let Punk and Bret talk for the entire hour by themselves.

In regards to WWE Backstage no longer being a weekly show, Dave Meltzer is reporting that the decision was more about the show's budget and viewership rather than Covid-19. Meltzer noted that CM Punk in particular had a "big" contract due to the network believing "they had pulled a great coup in getting him back on wrestling programming

Double talk Dave telling us all what we already know. CM Punk is not a draw and they way overpaid for his shtick.
