Basically the only way this will change is if another babyface emerges who Vince likes more than Reigns, but that prob won't happen because they won't elevate anyone to that spot as long as Reigns is a face. He said they might have been planning to to turn him heel when Balor debuted and won the title, but then he got hurt so they had to scrap it.
He said WWE has built a business model where it basically doesn't matter who's on top at the moment as long as attendance and stuff is doing OK. Said Reigns isn't a huge draw, but he sells a lot of merch, and the house shows he headlines usually do OK, and Vince has convinced himself that ratings don't matter anymore, so Vince doesn't feel a need to move away from him![]()
Vince can tell himself that ratings don't matter until NBC Universal lowballs again during the next negotiations and the stockholders get pissed off.
