i don't think super star threads take up a caw slot, only when you do the superstar head thing and completely change their attire does it take up a CAW slot

The issue is if they have the superstar threads option in the game still. Either they have superstar threads separate from edit a superstar, or if you just change the colors of a superstar inside the Edit a superstar mode it wont take up a slot since all you are doing is changing colors.
The Worst case scenario is no matter what we do we lose a CAW spot.

i know Diva Caws wasn't as popular but to completely remove them is pretty ridiculous. But i guess because of the new texture addition they wasn't gonna take any chances of the creeps

Well heres an update yo.
So Threads isnt separate but rather built in with edit a superstar. Only hope now is if you just change the colors of a superstar inside the Edit a superstar mode it wont take up a slot.
But at this point Im leaning more towards the fact that no matter what we edit, it takes a CAW slot.

Well this confirms it.
No matter what we do in terms of edits, we taking an L on a CAW slot.
LOL these nikkas took away virtually everything this year. Compression size is the factor supposedly. They haven't mastered it on the new hardware. I believe it actually. But wow. My nikka, I have a 500gb Hard Drive in the PS4. Just let me get unlimited CAWS until I get tired of sucking up storage space.
