I walked in the ring as D-Bry, gave Orton approximately 3 kicks to the gut, came up for the right punch, he blocked it, looked at me for about 2 secs & then RKO'd me... I didn't dig it!

What do you expect usin a B+ wrestler against the face of the WWE?

fukk Taker I can't beat it it's impossible. Anytime I get close and go for a pin he just keeps locking me in that hells gate whether he has any finishers or not or he'll just fukking disappear and reappear behind me with like 2 stored finishers. I just squashed him on hard mode in universe as mark henry though

I brought this game over the Weekend and I must say this game is alot of fukking fun I been running through the 30 years of wrestlemania mode and I am very impressed the videos before some matches plus they even had some of the classic promos done when I saw the Macho Man promo (Hulkamania is Dead!!) I fukking felt like I was 7 years old again

Seriously though can they do like a ECW DLC package or something?? i never get to play with Tazz in any of these fukking games hell give me RVD and I would be happy

It's buggy as hell if you don't follow the steps in the post I dropped awhile ago. You've gotta put work into it, and the work you have put in is largely because of the shortcomings of the game. I have a lot of moments with this game where i'm like "clearly I love wrestling a LOT to go through this." But I've had some amazingly booked shows the more i've messed with things.


Just so you don't have to go back to it:

Go in, delete the Rivals that don't make sense and position the people you want wrestlers to interact with the most to the far right. Go into EVERY match type (tedious process) and turn on Interference where applicable. This controls run-ins and the likelihood of cutscenes involving people that make SENSE.

Then go individually into everyone in Universe and toggle what titles they go after. Most of the weird ass match ups are because the game books according to rankings. So if Darren Young and Titus O' Neil are both in the IC title hunt, they're gonna fight each other even if they're a tag team. If you remove both wrestlers from going after the singles belts, chances are they'll NEVER face off. This controls weird ass match ups like Santino/Triple H main eventing Raw.

Decide if you want Auto Rivalries on or not. I find that with them off, it...actually sets up rivalries BETTER. You can then set up rivalries yourself if you see things progressing that way.

I have a really interesting one going in my Universe with ADR and RVD. It started logically pulling in other wrestlers and it's one of the cooler things going on right now. D. Young randomly ran in to save RVD from a chair beatdown, chases ADR off, the next week they have ADR vs. Darren Young which ends up being a really great match (as played by me), I win with ADR and Swagger comes down and we both put the steel to him. RVD fights Swagger the next week and when he wins the alert comes up that "RVD got revenge for Darren Young" -- good stuff. Now ADR and RVD are back at it again leading into the PPV.

Ideally, your rankings should ONLY consist of people you want going towards specific belts. If I see someone doing really well in the midcard, I move them to the bottom of the main title rankings. It's annoying that you have to like FOOL the game into working right. But it pays off, or at least it did for me. You'll still encounter fukkery, particularly the times when the game is too fukking stupid to book matches that have had heated rivalries for the PPV. But luckily you can book stuff yourself.

Is there anyway you can book Gold Rush tournaments is Universe mode? Do you edit the matches yourself just roll with what the game sets up for you? I heard if you edit the match it takes away the cut scenes?

I don't think you can book Gold Rush in there. Don't quote me on that. I know KOTR you can though if its any consolation. And I tend to roll with the matches as they mostly make sense now. If I want someone pushed and they're not getting booked or something i'll either boost them in the rankings or i'll edit them into matches until they start to show up. Editing does NOT remove cutscenes which is cool. I've definitely gotten cutscenes in matches i've booked myself. If you book over a rivalry match, you'll get a message that says the wrestlers involved fought in the pre-show and it'll tell you who won.

All due respect to @snikt6384, my gripes with the bugs have nothing to do with what you posted breh

I'm a stickler for customization with these games and using created arenas and inserting pyro and all that shyt.
But this year on Universe mode these nikkas didn't even bother to test this shyt out before they put the game on shelves it seems
-If you are using a created arena in Universe mode, the nameplates will not show up during entrances
-Half of the time, pyro does not go off during entrances in Universe Mode
-During World Title Matches, during the introduction..Justin Roberts audio is muted and you can't hear a damn thing of what he says
-If your Universe Match has a cut scene before the match (lets say your guy gets attacked, or a wrestler has a stable member come to the ring during a match) the signature/finisher icon does not flash during the match
-Retarded ass logic during cutscenes......Had a match between Macho Man (Champion) vs Razor Ramon. Razor comes out fine during his entrance...and then the game skips automatically to the ring introductions by Justin Roberts (with no audio) in which he introduces Razor and Macho..and then the screen flashes to a cut scene..in which Dibiase (who i had inactive) sneak attacks Macho during Macho's entrance ..Wasn't this nikka already supposed to be in the ring during introductions
-If you want to edit a match yourself during the card, the game has frozen 50% of the time.

Again, it's just Yukes/THQ/2K being lazy as fukk and rushing to put this game out before they could even test this shyt.

Edit: Also hearing of a lot of freezing during Royal Rumble Matches

Entrance music overlapping, custom themes not playing in entrances, i've gotten the Sig/Finisher glitch a time or two and some others. Patches. That's what this game needs. I hold out some hope because 2K is NOT THQ, but for the most part i've just been working around it as best I can. Which is a shame because where they've put the effort this year, the effort shows like a motherfukker.

Yeah I hope we get a patch as well. 2k is great with patching the basketball game...but i MLB2k last year had no patches that i was aware of...I'm hoping this game dosen't get the MLB treatment

Yup... dealing with a ton of game freezes as well. Hopefully there is a patch coming.
