WWE 2K14 - 30th anniversary Wrestlemania mode

Finally burnt picked it up. That beat-the-streak right now on hard is fukked up kicking out on the first pinfall and lost the match playing as Punk Taker was reversing everything. Throwing me around like a ragdoll

Side note: How come under the 'wrestlemania victims' section of 'the streak they blacked out who he faced at wrestlemania 9 and 13? It was just Giant Gonzalez and Sid. Not Krispenwah.

Redboxed it. 30 years of Wrestlemania was cool but outside of that nothings changed. They were lazy as hell with Rock's entrances. Universe is exactly the same but with rivalry's which are mostly pointless anyway. Same cut scenes and everything. The AI is much better though. Had a tag match with my CAW and Edge vs. Miz & Ryback and was putting them paws on Miz til he tagged out. Ryback came in and went off. My face while playing . I took that L but if I buy this game on Black Friday Ryback .

Man, if there's one community that deserves employment by game devs, it's the one for this series. That's awesome, and QUICKLY done.

Think I'm near throwing this game in the bushes. There is absolute zero replay value once you've done Wrestlemania/Streak mode. Universe mode is slightly better than last year but still has the annoying bugs/repetitiveness.

Don't get me wrong, some features on the game are class. I loved Wrestlemania/Streak mode and I think the game difficulty is much better now (reversals are tougher and more rewarding when you nail them) and matches are far more challenging/enjoyable than '13. Having said that, does anyone else suffer from laggy (offline) matches from time to time? Some matches will run so slow and laggy which is odd.

The other improvements are CC mode. Very quick to load items and download them. It also doesn't randomly throw you out and then become unavailable for the rest of the day like '13. So credit to 2K for sorting that out.

I really hope 2K have already began work on a whole new engine and completely different direction to take the franchise in. So much potential there for it to be a really addivtive offline and online game that can rival the likes of Fifa (Fifa has a quality, realistic career mode that you can play offline and addictive online play with Ultimate Team mode and even the regular, standard online play is enjoyable, unlike WWE's online mode/s).

Just had my first mark out moment. Edge (cpu) speared me in the air as I jumped off the turnbuckle hoping to land my own finisher. I just about managed to kick out too. Moments like that make it all worth while.
