I've never gotten an option and only really seen the cutscenes where a handshake is refused after the match.

I been getting cutscenes since I started playing Universe mode. Here are 2 tips:


Clear the Attitude Era before you play Universe, you'll get a lot more people unlocked into the game and you unlock the storylines.

Before you play a match on the match screen, ALWAYS go to Match Creator to try and edit the match. It'll tell you not to edit the match and that's how you know you're getting a cutscene.

I don't change any matches, I split the brands and edited faces and heels. So I don't get any dumb matches anyway.

I created a brand for duplicates and guys like Ryder and Brodus and they just fight in the empty Halftime Heat Arena

who ever said dont do updates and delete patches was wrong. The updates def help alot I notive even in like tlc matches the game helps you put people through tables and such even more.

I had a champion vs champion match hogan vs hall and then begining of match ddp comes out of nowhere and beats up hall then it becomes ddp vs hogan. now I have a 3 way match hogan vs ddp vs hall. in the middle of match it cuts to a cut scene where hall and hogan do a double team match on ddp. I never seen shyt like this untill I unlocked the storymode pack 2 in attitude era and updated the game.

I posted about deleting the update. Like I said it worked for me. I was getting nothing but random attacks before or after a match and not shaking hands for cut scenes. Once I deleted it I got all kinds of cut scenes including a branching one.

I've had DX attack Dolph & Swagger after a payperview match leading to a rivalry. Cut scenes where someone runs down to stop another guy from getting attacked and throws him over the top rope intead of just scaring him, etc. I also have all the wrestlers seperated between 3 different shows. 40 per show I think. Never had a problem putting anybody through a table before or after deleting the patch.

Do you edit your matches and customize freely/change participants or do you just open a show and launch the matches?

I just go with what they give me. If you go to edit match it'll tell you if it will stop the storyline. If it doesn't say that then you're free to make that match whatever you want. I play probably 80% of the matches if it's part of a storyline or I'll let the CPU play each other while I browse the web.

I can't front I am a little disappointed that in Universe mode it doesn't allow yo to create your own story lines, feuds, and rivalry. I went to my boys house yesterday and we created our own "brands" and the whole night we are wondering why the fukk are they giving us the same random stupid matches every week after we change it to get the match we feel is right.

That has to be changed in a patch this year or next year ASAP. I aint tryin to have my "Living Legends" stable(SCSA, Rock) feud with fukking Hunico and jack swagger

I will cop though this weekend so i can do that Attitude mode era piffness.

Yeah, that's definitely frustrating, I didn't spend an hour customizing teams and rivalries to have Sheam/Ryback vs DBry and Cesaro semi main event to Yoshi/Jey Uso vs Slater and Sandow

It's bullshyt that they got rid of the feud manager from the brand wars a couple years back

Exactly bruh. We spent a couple hours drafting, setting up alliances/rivals, championships, arenas etc. We finally get it poppin and a month later we gettin ridiculous main events. On my roster I picked Brock, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Rock, and SCSA has my main eventers and they cant make it to my main show but they getting love on Velocity? and Im stuck with Godfather vs. Ryback in an epic main event on Smackdown. Meanwhile my homie got Shawn Michaels vs Hawk in a highlight match for his main event.

We both looking at the screen like "Computer must be glitching" not knowing they set it up that way.

No Fan axxess is to download all the DLC for free

That;s ugly bruh. I threw Prepico, Brodus Clay, Otunga and Ryder in the bushes and added LOD, NAO, the Hart Foundation, HBK, see if that makes my MNR better

Forgot to mention I had the road warriors vs the acolytes and in the hawk went to tag animal in and hawk just like quit the match and left. I played as the acolytes and just tag teamed animal and won the match. you can tell when a story line is building when you see the same wrestlers vs'ing each other like 2 weeks in a row. you can also tell when you go to play a match if you go to edit the rules itll say if you change the rules this story line will end or something.

edit: Also I intervere in matches alot. Like I want stone cold and the rock to feud so any time one of them has a match I make it so the other one interferes.

I let a show play through and I have a Jey Uso/Heath Slater main event with Slater putting the beats to Uso as the show ends with Yoshi Tatsu coming out for the save
