Le Batard: Dwyane Wade Doesn’t Trust the Miami Heat
Josh BaumgardJuly 5, 2016

Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat remain at an impasse over his next contract.

“The problems are real,” Dan Le Batard said on ESPN Radio Tuesday. “It’s not something we’re soap-opera manufacturing because we love it. The relationship has never been in a more dangerous place when you consider golden state going to get Durant with all their players to recruit him and you consider the spurs going with LaMarcus Aldridge and pat riley couldn’t go with Dwyane Wade and Dwyane Wade’s camp leaked before the meeting something that played defense against what the miami heat was trying to do in that meeting… But he was in no way helping the franchise with the recruitment of Durant in any way, didn’t make a public comment about wanting Durant. Didn’t reach out in private. Somewhere along the line here and I don’t know how this happened and I don’t know why it happened but somewhere along the line there’s a trust fracture here.

“Dwyane Wade clearly doesn’t trust the Miami Heat to give him X number of million on the front end with the bird rights they can give him at the end of the contract the parachute of one-year, $30 million, $40 million, $50 million — he clearly doesn’t trust them to do that…

Le Batard also said the Miami Heat is close to its breaking point regarding Wade and he does not think they’re going to offer him the three years and $60 million Wade is pursuing.

wade leaves, this is gonna really hurt the franchise going forward. no superstars will wanna come knowing the heat did wade dirty. Riley lookin funny out here. Wade essentially built this franchise. they weren't even gonna draft him, they were gonna draft bosh. no wade. no title in 2006. no wade, no lebron and bosh and heat don't get those 2 championships. Wade recruited em, and took a paycut to get em. franchise prolly made crazy millions during the heatles era and now they got the nerve to be stingy. smh

What money can Cleveland even afford him with is my question.

Unless he's just gonna go play for the minimum out of spite which would be ridiculous....
I think they'd have to move a few guys and LeBron would have to take a pay cut, and he said I think last year he won't play for less than the max
