From Bosh:

"They just say it because they can say it, because it's a word, the loyalty that you have shown and exercised for 13 years here. You said, like somebody's going to fill in the shoes, walk behind . . . it's never going to be done. They're too big. Nobody can ever walk behind you. I've admired you. I've always admired you. You've been not only a friend to me but a role model. Chicago has gained just an incredible person. I'm jealous of that. There'll never be one again. Cheers."

Udonis Haslem, the Heat's other captain last season along with Wade and Bosh, offered his own toast, addressing Wade now getting the opportunity to play in his hometown of Chicago, after Haslem has spent all 13 years of his NBA career in his native South Florida.

"You started in Chicago," Haslem toasted, "and you've been all around the world and you've gained so much exposure, so much success, and then you end back in Chicago. And I think there's a reason for that. I've played my whole career in my hometown my whole life, so I know what an incredible experience it can be. So I actually, as a friend, I would love him to experience that."

Haslem joked about how he had to share the South Florida limelight with Wade these past 13 seasons, with both joining the Heat in 2003-04. He said that, too, was a pleasure.

"I was like, that's my boy, that's Wade County," Haslem said. "We were able to divide it. I was like, all right, you take downtown."

Social-media posts showed several Wade teammates in attendance at the gathering, including power forward Josh McRoberts (:dahell:), as well as family and friends. Earlier Saturday, Wade hosted a bicycle ride through Coconut Grove to promote community unity, with Haslem riding alongside.

"It was cool. I enjoyed it," Haslem said. "Obviously it was for a great cause. I'm not much of a rider. But I enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed the exercise part of it, something I might get into in the future."

The Heat and Bulls open training camp Sept. 27, with Wade's lone return visit to AmericanAirlines Arena this season on Nov. 10.

Is he really that big on 2017 DA that he sacrificed fukkING Wade to do it? Not even an email to our franchise corner stone? :comeon:

"Guys, I grabbed us Luke Babbit, Wayne Ellington, Dion Waiters, and James Johnson for our contending team!" :what:

It was all over the Lebron friendship im sure because there are no free agents out there that will out there that will put us over the big dogs at the moment. Riley felt disrespected so was like fukk nah aint no legacy contract nikka ask ya BFF for one in cleveland and fully committed to the youth movement. I understand both sides but pissed it came to this.

Honestly our rotation is the most frustrating thing for me right now like wtf is going on?

Drag winslow and whiteside are the def starters with bosh if he's cleared but then what? Beno is an emergency garbage min pg and the 2 spot got 3 bodies. Mcbob is at every event but can his ass play? Reed looks so we set at the center spot. When will all them random stretch 4/sf nikkas get pt from?

hahaha

Even when Wade signed that one year 20M contract the previous season I saw the writing on the wall

This chasing the big free agent thing RARELY pans out......Riley should have taken care of his franchise player

All of the bullshyt Pat spouts about wishing it had gone different is the very definition of duck tales...

If they wanted to re-sign Wade it would have gotten done.....

Sure people will take meetings with Miami......it looks good when they are negotiating with other teams

And I am gonna say what many other people are thinking......Riley would love to find someway to get rid of Bosh too

Miami Heat doctors told Chris Bosh his career was probably over during the winter after the discovery of a second blood clot in his leg, and Bosh has been fighting the diagnosis for the past six months, Bosh revealed in the first installment of a documentary debuting Wednesday on Uninterrupted.com.“Seeing the team doctors, they told me that my season is over, my career is probably over and this just happens, this is just how it is,” Bosh said. “I felt right away that I was written off. It was [claps his hands together] put it to the side matter-of-factly. If a doctor tells me, ‘Hey that’s it and this is how that is,’ and I don’t buy that. I have the right to disagree with you.

The Heat have not commented on Bosh’s statements. The team is planning to welcome him to training camp but is not yet comfortable with clearing him to play long term, sources told ESPN.com. Traditional treatment for people who have experienced multiple blood clots would preclude them from playing professional sports.

Barry Jackson: As I reported in Miami Herald newspaper this morning, Bosh has been taking Heat physicals and has not been cleared by the team to return yet

#Boshgate #Clotgate

I am with @Primetime21, the Heat should just come out and say they don't feel comfortable playing Bosh. We will have to stay tuned and see what happens.

What if he does? Is he wrong? They clear Bosh and he has another blood clot occurrence or worse and they are going to look like a bunch of fools. I understand both the management and player perspective here, something alot of Heat fans cant do.
