Dwyane Wade distributed a private letter Thursday to Miami Heat employees a day after he decided to leave for the Chicago Bulls in NBA free agent. The Sun Sentinel has obtained a copy, which follows:

"To My HEAT Family:
"Over the last 13 years -- you have been my second family. The last 24 hours have been an emotional roller coaster for me. It is really hard to say goodbye . . .so instead I just want to say thank you. Thank you for welcoming a young, shy 21 year old kid and helping me grow into the man I am today. Thank you for taking care of my family and my team over the years. Thank you for helping me transcend the sport of basketball and become a global presence. Thank you for the memories. The championships . . . the parades . . . the division titles.
"Everyone from the coaching staff to the trainers and doctors...parking attendants to the ushers, store employees, sales team, HEAT TV, Marketing, ticket office, executives, assistants, game operations and community affairs . . . You have all had a part in who I am today. We won together. We lost together. We made magic together.
"I will always be a HEAT LIFER. To me, a heat lifer is not about the jersey I have on my back -- but what I carry in my heart.
"I will truly miss everyone. And I wish nothing but the best for all of you.

"-- D. Wade #3

SAS said Whiteside was late to practice 41 times. :dwillhuh:

In hindsight Heat may really miss Deng. Need some kind of veteran presence to guide him. :francis:

caught some of the local afternoon show just now

skolnick implies he got this info from the wade camp
Skolnick says there is still a lot of distrust from Bosh towards the Heat. Bosh thinks the heat don't want to let him play to get from under his contract. he thinks they will try and hold him back from playing.

this runs counter to what Lebatard has been saying lately...which is the team plans on Bosh playing.
says they haven't reached out to UD since July 1. probably don't want him back.

riley needs to step down. dude just completely fukked us beyond belief. from extending spo's contract to shytting all over the player who made this franchise what it is. with his comments about wade taking a paycut for his friends and not the team, he basically guaranteed no big time free agents are signing with the heat for a long time. wade is well respected and loved by the players in the nba. I said it before, but nobody wants to deal with pat's old school approach anymore. it's a player's league and he needs to understand it. I mean dude just started allowing headbands when lebron came:mjlol:....shyt is hilarious. our only hope now is that justise and J rich really develop into all stars. no more of that timid shyt from justise....the time is now. if we had devin booker I wouldn't be that upset about wade leaving. booker and hassan would be fukkin lethal. i'm still a little worried from what I seen from justise in the playoffs. there were times he looked completely SHOOK. only way this team does well next season if he takes a huge leap forward. hopefully this gives him extra motivation knowing his role just got a whole lot bigger. he needs to be taking 1000 jumpers a day. one thing also, is that hassan, winslow, and j rich are our best defenders. our defense was always best when them guy's were on the floor. even when wade was off the floor our defense was nasty with those guys playing. so we should still be solid defensively.

I main concern is how Dragic is going to mesh with the youth when he has a tunnel vision. He misses too many open players in numerous half-court plays. We can't forget how awful he is in the PnR. Hassan is going to have a hard time with Dragic.

I don't blame you, fam. Pat dragged our loveable franchise to the hole.
3 years ago we were the class of the league. Great organization, great front office, great destination. Because of Pat's arrogance and an unwillingness to pay the tax, this franchise is a radioactive dumpster fire today that it seems nobody wants to play for.
