theres a couple missteps, the track at the end with the male singer is a mess. hook and beat are wack. i dont love Hood Go Bang's beat, opening track w/ Rae is cool. RZA solo is solid

think i was right about this being Methamatics project, reworked into a Wu side project. Meth's verse on Hood Go Bang kinds of hints at that

its probably Math's 2nd or 3rd best project, way better than The Answer which was not up to par

i cant really compare this to a real WTC album, because its a comp. you could compare it to Legendary Weapons or the other one that came out around the same time, its more like those. or Math's 2nd album The Problem

im a much bigger fan of the last 2 WTC albums than most, esp 8 Diagrams which gets hate for no reason at all

I spin 8D usually once a year and I'm always surprised it got as much hate as it did. If Rae didn't trash it, people would've saw it for what it was. A solid project

This is really average. Beats are nothing special. A few good songs but that's all.

Forgettable and uneventful project : 2.5/5.

Legendary Weapons was better than 8 Diagrams and Better Tomorrow. 8 Diagrams was a mess, and Better Tomorrow was just nothing special and forgettable

I like A Better Tomorrow but I can see people not being fans of it, but 8 Diagrams? I just can't understand the hate.

8 Diagrams is a good album. Thought it was average at first but I grew to like it. Love Rushing Elephants and The Heart Gently Weeps.

8 diagrams > iron flag and abt

It suffers some sequencing issues and rza made some truly bizzare choices on it (that guitar on unpredictable.. ughhhh). IFs standouts are better but 8d is much more consistant.

The standouts to me are

Campfire
Gun will go
Wolves (and origibal version which i prefer)
Heart gently weeps
Sunlight
Stick me for my riches
Life changes


I thought take it back, get em out the way pa, windmill, weak spot and rushing elephants, tar pit and the dj wcratch wong that got cut were all solid but nothing groundbreaking. Ya know how wu used to have those beyond classic tracks all over the album but slowly average/mediocre somgs started making their way in.

Starter and unpredictable are really only onws i didnt like and unpredictable woulda been dope if rza didnt add that guitar. Those other changes he made were fine but that gtr was disgusting


Theres alao that other song that was cut from it. I think math put it out
