this is an album that i will never get bored with, the beats and lyrics have such depth .. its one of those albums that if you ask which song is best, the answer could be almost any song on the albumWas just about to create this thread. GOAT double album in my opinion. Was just listening to it this morning, had no idea it's been 20 years.
Do you remember the hype when it first came out?this is an album that i will never get bored with, the beats and lyrics have such depth .. its one of those albums that if you ask which song is best, the answer could be almost any song on the album
I was about to say there was this tiny little Korean pawn shop that stayed getting CDs early that nobody else knew about. I remember bringing the tape to school playing it on my walkman while a group of us was on the back the bus huddled up getting hype to it. Since it was summer school we was on that bytch for like an hour so heard the first tape on the way there and the second on the way back. One of the thuggest dudes out basically debo'd my shyt for a night. HIs crew was legit. I was sure I was ass'd out but he hit me back up with it the next morning.1 week before the album was suppose to drop me and my cousin saw the bootleg at the African Square Market in Harlem. We both went in our pockets and copped. I thought it was gonna be some bullshyt when I got home but it was the official release. I sat in the staircase of my cousins projects and listened to the whole album while smoking weed alone. For me, That was always the best way to digest an album for the first time.
