After some more listens..this sounds Digi Snacks & Friends.....

I'll keep a couple tracks but..lets be real....it isnt a better tomm......shyt is real out here...and this aint movin' my chakras..........ill contintue to listen to my killarmy..wu syn......sunz of man ..priest because when I walk outside..that is what reflects my world..not this soft ass miracle shyt.......this is NOT winter music......these fukks out here dont respect us and u want me to play miracle while a potential threat is in a 360 degree around me? nah

ghostface mixtape is 100x better than this shyt...him and Nems on Homicide is :wow:

Rza did snap on that one joint..but alot of this is just meh........even when I'm in a happy mod ill play Supreme Clientele..............and if im in my complex high degree shyt ill play some old warcloud or priest or some deeper wu aff.

it aint the verses...its the beats...fukk some of these beats forreal...........stop fukin wit my emotions and give me those darts BEAT WISE.......stop holdin holocaust music back...release those gravediggaz tracks....u talkin about u got a million verses..you can give us gravediggaz ..bobby digi..then please feel free to take my money ...but fukk dis better tomm the world is still fukked up regardless of how much money u have in ur pocket and prayin for a better tomm or miracle aint workin

I'm disappointed in Meth for that IG post :manny: especially with how well he performed on "RZA's album" :why: fukk it though, my only hope is that he can release his own material and it be as good

Finally listened...album is wack to me. Not gonna spend a lot of time hating on it/stirring up the thread, clearly some like it and some don't. I like Necklace, Pioneer The Frontier is cool...but that's about it. Everything else ranges from straight up trash (Felt...wtf?) to average. Preacher's Daughter would be cool without that chorus lol. It just feels like it lacks energy, and the themes seem more forced than anything natural. You can tell these are topics RZA "directed" them to rap about, which may have worked 15 years ago but here you can tell they aren't feeling it.

Does anyone want to hear these songs live? There's not much here that could get a crowd hype outside of maybe Ruckus In B Minor.

You don't like Felt, tho?

Hopefully people who don't like it feel they can come in and express their views, haha.

I actually do want to hear this stuff with a live band...only issue is if these guys aren't into the music they made, it'll be obvious on stage.

But yeah..for example, I think '40th Street Black' would be a crazy performance if done right.

the real hiphop.
Album is decent based off 2-3 listens. Some gems, some meh tracks but so far no track I've found awful yet. I hated 8 Diagrams but so far this seems like a solid album. Its clear though that RZA should not have full creative freedom or produce entire albums in the future. Let him executive produce and co-produce future albums with someone else. I've absolutely loved everything he's done with Kanye's team for example.

Track by track commentary:
Ruckus In a B Minor - 8/10 - Great opening track, this is Meth's track. He takes command over the track and kills it. Ghost's flow is weak nowadays tho. Good to hear GZA spit with some energy in his voice/delivery.
Felt - 7/10 - Nice, wish the drums would've banged harder though. Meth kills it again.
40th Street - 5/10 - This is too soft production wise for me on a Wu album. Not awful but so bland and forgettable. Skip material.
Mistaken Identity - Once again, production is too soft. I cant get into this track.
Hold the Heater - 8/10 - I've been wanted RZA to bring back his yelling delivery and I fukks with this hook. Beat is nice. U-God killing it. GZA and Meth too!
Crushed Ego's - 6/10 - This track doesn't do that much for me, its cool and all, although that hook is kinda meh.
Keep Watch - 7/10 - Dont get the hate this track gets, that hook aint that bad, could've been better but not bad at all. Beat bangs.
Miracle - 7/10 - Yeah this hook was a mistake. That shyt is way too soft for a Wu album. Killer track otherwise.
Preachers Daughter - 5/10 - Hook is awful. Too bad cause it had potential.
Pioneer the Frontier - 7/10 - I see this track get a lot of praise. It aint all that but goes pretty hard.
Necklace - 7/10 - Some dark shyt, that's dope. Something is missing tho...
Ron O'Neal - 7/10 - Cool track, this is some listenable stuff although that hook is WRONG. Brings down the track.
A Better Tomorrow - 8/10 - This some grown up stuff, they are grown ass men and this track reflects it nicely and respectfully. Meth killed it again.
Never Let Go - 6/10 - I like the concept and the execution from a rapping point of view but RZA tries to hard with the production. Keep it more simple this is overproduced shyt.
Wu Reunion - 7/10 - Nice closing track, its positive and once again they pull this grown man shyt off respectfully bringing back this old soul classics.

Some overproduced stuff, some awful hooks and some lack of hard grimy Wu bangas. RZA still has it sometimes but 'sometimes' and aint enough for a Clan album...
