TK should have held Mercedes out until she was cleared to wrestle.
Rolling her out this early was a desperate move to bolster hsi programming.
Having her cut these cringy promos is painful to watch.

I don’t remember Sasha ever being wack at promos from what I saw of her WWE/NXT stuff.

She's a fantastic wrestler but her promo game always been mid
There was a time her and Bayley were super rough to listen up promo wise but Big Body Bayley has long since passed her by
Wouldn't matter. If one is so dead set on her being wrong while ignoring the misgivings of others...their mind is fukked up. And there leagues' of wrestling fans with their own agenda.
She murdered Bayley, Charlotte, and Alexa Bliss on the mic week after week. I ain't been watching so I know what the new perception supposedly is now but she definitely has never had fans turn on her promos like they did Bliss, Charlotte, and Bayley.
I make fun of her a lot...but it isn't like she isn't a great talent.
As a booker, Tony does not know how to book around his wrestler's strengths and weaknesses. The way she's been presented does not work for her as a performer. She's not a great promo and he should have known that as part of his scouting process. Instead, he overpaid (yes, overpaid - if she's getting 5 million, she should be bringing in 15 million revenue) and then presented her in the worse light possible.
At some point it's on her too. Tony didn't just bring her in and say here you go like he does on everybody else. Part of signing her was hiring her own writer and he did, so w.e. she's doing is a collaboration of the company, Mercedes herself & her writer. She's doing what she thinks is good, just like she thought biting Hollywood Rock with that Spongebob tiny piano guitar in Japan was good
Some people need the production of the biggest company, it is what it is. That's not a knock unless she wants it to be. But she's proven time and time again now that's who she is

Other than that, stick her with a manager that helps lead into her promos the way Heyman did for Roman, who also sucked at promos for a hot minute before he became the Tribal Chief.
