Before I bounce from the office...
I had an Interview Monday at SFO for a internship at United
Afterwards I was chilin in the parking lot that the departures fly over...

you really don't appreciate/understand the grandness of a 777 until your close to one
watched a big ass 777-300er take off right above me headed to Korea
damn those fukkers are huge

to think of one just exploding or crashing is mind-boggling.

This doesn't even make sense. How does the size decide if it should be floating or not. There are other factors that play in as well
some guy on erin burnett right now is saying he thinks its too big to float

i know what you mean though about other factors

edit: guy is tom haueter, former director NTSB office of aviation saftey

i spent 8 years working security at a airport was in/out/under these planes all days and yea people cant imagine how huge these are, sometimes i would park on the side of the runway with my security car and just watch these things land and take off all day.

that why when i heard about that air France flight which was a 747 crashed i was like :damn: i would only imagine the horror inside that plane in its last moments

Airplanes are made of aluminum alloys and in small sections
the pieces will float

:lupe:

- today is the first time the Malaysian authorities MAY be seeing these satellite images, not sure if they Chinese are sharing them
- the pics were taking the day after the plane crashed
- they may have been floating when the pics were taking could have sunk by now

Most of the fleet are on the other side of the country. I'm sure they will get a chopper out there soon. But I doubt they will show anything until they pull the parts out and inspect.
I'll be happy with the choppa, I'm sure they can get a good visual if it looks like the plane

yea they said those COULD be airplane pieces, but the problem is that airplane parts that big tend not to float , they sink

there also talking about now that the Chinese deliberately held back these images for a couple of days and are not providing the highest res photos they have , so other countries don't know there satellite capabilities.
or maybe the world is stalling
