Im talking more about the casual reaction in general but I'll tell you what: It aint like i see a lot of them asking about Becky like that. I'd argue the idea of Kofi being the first black champ (or at least how the general audience perceives that there hasnt been one before) is more interesting to some
It's more interesting to a lot. Did you see the reactions on Twitter and IG when he won? I have never seen as many black fans show out since the attitude era. Sadly The Breakfast Club spoke about Mania, and Yee only mentioned the women main eventing. Charlabytch didn't even mention New Day, and he gave them a shout out a couple of years ago.

Goes back to what I said in the John Oliver thread:

Worst thing for fans who demand accountability and honest narrative is WWE building relationships outside with general media (ESPN, Hot 97, CBS etc) to carry their narrative vs having a genuine interest of whats going on in wrestling, gauging what people talk about and presenting an outside look at their decisions which are more fascinating than having the champ come on ABC Monday and talk about the record crowd they brought in for Mania and "hey bring the family along to the next live event"

Man I tell you what

I know she's meant to be the one of the top people now if not THE top person, and I guess we still have Smackdown......

... but last night on Raw didnt feel like no A Spot for the first woman to headline Mania and win 2 belts, scrapping it out with Lacey Evans in like the third segment

The Becky shyt was just throwin’ fans a bone. This is all to get Lacey the rub — a blonde who was in the Marines? You know Vince salivatin’.

In general not only the internet or this forum. Just if you talk to friends who dont follow wrestling week to week like you and me.

Of course they still of wrestling like in the 80s and 90s and up to mid 00s

Yea it’s funny how different they think than smarks. I have a friend who watched and hasn’t actually watched a full show in a few years who was most into HHH vs Batista and Shane vs Miz, thought nothing of Becky, and thought Orton should’ve beat AJ because he’s a lot bigger than him.

And smarks would say he’s stupid and doesn’t understand our great sport but it’s fukking wrestling.

Kinda felt like Jericho when he became the first undisputed champion after beating Stone Cold & The Rock the night before :ld:
