Imma screenwriter

You're a screenwriter too? One thing that happens to me a lot is I get ideas by just doing everyday things like going to the store or taking out the trash. I also watch a lot of my favorite shows over and over to get the inspiration I need to write more. Just come up with any idea you can and once you have it, don't stop writing until you're satisfied with your work.

Listen here son.... if you're having writers block.... just turn on some good tunes like JDilla music, get you a nice warm tea, maybe go to a nice artsy environment and just take in the vibe or the moment.

Dont drink, dont do drugs because drugs and drinking is for weak people and losers. And you're not a loser son, there are great things ahead for you but you have to just keep your head on straight and stay focused. Dont take your eye off the ball, you're gonna make it

You ever try free-writing?
Its an exercise where you just write the first thing that comes to mind while paying no attention to punctuation, spelling or even coherence just to get the ball rolling on writing something/anything.
I tend to set a timer on my phone (between 5-10 minutes) and just free-write without stopping.
Are you a journalist breh or just a screen writer? Do you listen to the podcast if you do and we talk about things you are interested don't hesitate to send me a pm to hop on

I am a complete amateur, man. Took some creative writing classes (actually signed up for another one recently) before and mainly just blog when I am looking to do any writing.

i know this is not an option for someone who has deadlines, but my best weapon against writer's block is to simply drop it, move on to something else, and then come back later. i find that trying to defeat writer's block produces bad writing and more anxiety.
