haha even without knowing that, as soon as Hogan walked out that night and Heenan started yelling "WHOS side is he on?" ...he basically put it out there and afterwards i always thought he spoiled it , i was surprised they let him make a comment like that. cuz even schiavone was like

Heenan never liked Hogan though. It made sense for the HEEL announcer to say that. The average viewer (98%) wouldn't have even caught on to that.

You have hindsight bias. No five year old would have gleaned a Hogan heel turn from that comment. Heenan didn't like Hogan and with all the shyt going on it was an atmosphere of paranoia. Anything could happen. It wouldn't make sense for him NOT to question Hogan.

Bischoff ruined The Greater Power for me when he said his initials were VKM. I don't know why but I thought it was gonna be Russo. Had no idea that Hogan was the 3rd man cause as others have pointed out Heenan always hated him. I never thought my childhood hero would ever be a bad guy

I knew it was Vince when they did a reveal to Austin at the end of a RAW.

His reaction gave it away. It was anger rather than shock or surprise. Then when Vince didn't want to be present for the unveiling that sealed it.

Supposedly it was supposed to be Mick Foley. That would have been interesting. Particularly if it was the Dude Love persona.
