I remember watching this as it happened. They deliberately worded Hardy as being found unconscious in a stairwell to dupe people into thinking something serious had happened to him given his history, then proceeded to put on one of the most brutally boring matches I’ve ever seen. People were chanting boring and TNA and I don’t think it even went 10 minutes before Edge, the guy who took Jeff out and was being inserted by Vickie Guerrero, got a pop for putting an end to this dreck.Survivor Series 2008. I remember this because I watched it live (expecting to see, among other things, Jeff win the belt) and, for a good while, thought Jeff had fukked up and ODed again. This ALSO led to one of the worst WWE Title matches I've ever seen in Triple H vs. Vladimir Kozlov before Edge was added to the match (do yourself a favor and never watch it). And all this so that Edge could put over Jeff the next month instead of Hunter.
The fukked up part about putting Edge in this feud was that it completely derailed the build to Jeff winning the belt, because his feud with Triple H was entirely built on him being unable to win the big one and beat Hunter, and he had just come off losing to HHH in close matches at like the last 2-3 PPVs. Instead of him going over HHH one on one or at the very least pinning him in the triple threat at Armageddon, they insert Edge to be the fall guy. Hardy wins the belt but never overcame Triple H, making the whole thing hollow and half assed

Bob Backlund needs to put Meltzer in the cross face chicken wing for adding him. Also, I'm sure it's a ton of Memphis shyt in the 80s and 90s that are on par with some of these choices.

HHH even did a half assed pin so he wouldn't have to take the swanton.

To tribute Mike, WCCW changed their David Von Erich show (who died in ’84 in controversial circumstances) in to the David & Mike memorial show. They charged extra for VIP tickets, and even went as far to have a female mud wrestling match. Not in good taste at all … but it happened. RIP Mike.

All they had to do was either not show the Hassan attacks, or show it months later for another feud. That mistake destroyed Hassan’s wrestling career.
