Jeff Hardy found unconscious

The worst part about it was that a) it was during the fukking preshow of the PPV and b) it was solely so they could find an excuse to put Edge in the triple threat match after being out injured for four months :mjlol:

I always thought the implication was that Jeff got jumped by Edge/La Familia when I was younger. Looking back at it now, and how life imitated art with Victory Road 2011... :ohhh::picard:

What was so bad about 1981 and 1982? :lupe:

And the Mean Gene hotline sounds a little too nit picky to me or wrestling got too wholesome that year (I didn’t really watch anything in 1995).

EDIT: Okay this wasn’t disgusting, just embarrassing really.

I did my googles on it, and evidently the Observer as it’s become known today didn’t really exist the same way in 81 & 82, it was mostly Meltzer’s opinion backed by a few others as to what was and wasn’t cool. I think from 83 onward is when it became something readers voted on and determined

Never heard of the Pacman incident. :dwillhuh:

Me neither

Funny though as a kid I thought Pacman in TNA was good shyt :mjlol:

I barely even noticed that he couldn’t do bumps and shyt when he was Tag champs with Truth.

I will never understand how Muhammad Hassan’s angle got past WWE and UPN employees.

UPN refused to not use it and put a disclaimer but there still was a huge backlash (before you judge think about it this happened instead of London but Los Angeles) so they murdered the man on PPV

Survivor Series 2008. I remember this because I watched it live (expecting to see, among other things, Jeff win the belt) and, for a good while, thought Jeff had fukked up and ODed again. This ALSO led to one of the worst WWE Title matches I've ever seen in Triple H vs. Vladimir Kozlov before Edge was added to the match (do yourself a favor and never watch it). And all this so that Edge could put over Jeff the next month instead of Hunter. :martin:

Mean Gene was a huge, carny-ass piece of shyt that would use the hotline to "report" blatantly false news and screw callers out of their money in exchange for those lies. For example, when Brian Pillman died, he went on the hotline and INSISTED that it was due to a coke overdose only to backtrack when the autopsy revealed that there were no illegal drugs in Pillman's system when he died.

I could write a quite long post on how Mean Gene being a huge scumbag is one of the biggest open secrets in wrestling (just look at how often he would completely undermine guys during interviews for no reason whatsoever).
