He lived close to Benoit and was friends with him. Regal doesn't praise him as a person at all, he just praises his hard work and dedication to being a wrestler. "Nothing about "he was a great man, devoted father, loved his wife etc". You can tell he chose his words VERY carefully because he suspected Benoit had killed them, hence his opening sentence of "At a later date I'll be quite happy to say nice things about Benoit" because the facts hadn't been confirmed
