Damn! Didnt know they were willing to deal Okafor. I've been wanting the Heat to go after that guy for years. We need him in Miami to be our Zo 2.0

Fans of that team need to do what the Golden State fans did and wait until a big team ceremony and boo the fukk out of the owners and front office.

It got results in Golden State

Zo was way more than a shot blocker bruh

I know that but Zo was no offensive juggernaut either. Look I'm not saying dude was gonna be Zo but he would bring some of the stuff Zo brought to the table such as size (which we dont have) and ability to defend (something we could use right about now).

Zo had a nice jumper and a quick first step for a center but he was no Olajuwon or Duncan with his back to the basket. Heck his last few years it was painful watching him on offense.

Wizards will just take Shabazz who's being compared to as a Harden type player next draft and won't have to pay him 80 mil for 5 years.

Bradley Beal could be dealt if he doesn't do shyt the rest of the season and the Wiz are in contention to grab Shabazz.

So what happens if you do draft Muhammad and then he balls the fukk out and then is up for a max contract?

At some point, you have to pay somebody. Harden is a top 5 2 guard and with Wall, would've formed one of the most formidable backcourts in the league.

Beal has quietly been beasting all season. He's usually the 2nd leading scorer on the team at the end of games. I think he's averaging like 16pts per which is fantastic for any rookie
And he's been playing below expectations. Just somehow at the end of games he'll have that many points. I seriously can hop back on the Wade comparisons if we look at the numbers...

:stopitslime: Zo would shut duncan down bruh. Duncan doesn't face defenders like that, you can't even play defense in this league anymore...

Well not having to pay for 5yrs is better than paying today, but I agree with you that the combo could of been deadly
If its true that we was stuck with Ariza and Okafor? Then I guess we had to pass. I can't be furious because I liked the move for those two players. They was supposed to provide depth. The problem is everyone got hurt, so they became the starters :weirdo:

Were talking about OFFENSIVELY.

And dont lie to yourself. Most of the times we played San Antonio PJ Brown was guarding Duncan. Not saying Zo couldn't or wouldn't stop Duncan I'm talking facts instead of coulda woulda shoulda

Yeah, its a fact that centers are a dying breed. And Zo was a center in every sense of the word.
Duncan didn't have to face ppl like Zo much if at all during his career
And the league rules have changed to help the offensive player cuz league scoring was getting too low
Duncan came up during that era. Zo came up when Men was allowed to be Men
Zo's big ass would of made Duncan = Elden Campbell 2.0

Just click here to learn up on Zo's career. I forgot he was #2 in the draft behind Shaq. So you can see how his success might of been overlooked at times...

Ehh... Zo and Duncan were in their primes around the same time dude. Zo was in the league less than 5 years when Duncan came in.

Zo not guarding Duncan was a strategy by Riley to have PJ guard most scoring bigs so Zo could roam free and protect the basket at all cost. It helped our D and helped Zo stay out of foul trouble because dude was known for going after EVERY SHOT. We loved him for it but that was also his weakness because of fouls.

As for Duncan,

Duncan's game is that of a Center type strength with SF type skills. His back to the basket game was better than most C's we've seen too. To this day i still say the only center that I've seen play that I would pick over Duncan is Olajuwon.

Shaq was a dominant force, yes. But Shaq's skill level never was and never will be on Duncan's. Shaq had moves and athleticism but Duncan had that + an entire arsenal of shots from hooks to fade-aways to the Scottie Pippen like bank shot he made a living on.

Alonzo Mourning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've been a Heat fan since the Steve Smith/Glen Rice/Rony Seikaly era dude. Ever since those times when we (heat fns) thought Harold Miner was gonna be our own Michael Jordan. I know all there is to know about Zo's career which is why I can tell you he was never an offensive juggernaut.

During his tenure in Miami our best scorers were Jamal Mashburn and Tim hardaway. Zo could score because he was quicker than most of these centers that were trying to guard him and was a beast at getting position down low against smaller or similar size opponents. Even bigger dudes couldnt bang with homie down there due to his strength. (See Muresean and Sean Bradley)

But while the offense went through him, Zo was never our number one option on offense. Remember that.
