I believe the "perfect timing" comment has to do with what's going on with the riots. As far as the other stuff, I don't know why he's bringing that up. Wasn't Nas beefing with Mega at the time? shyt happens during beef, like Mega getting Stoute Jumped.

A lot of his contemporaries have described him as just that. Prodigy, Ali Vegas, 50 Cent, Mega, etc, I love Nas to death, but he’s definitely done some shady shyt that has hindered other people’s careers.

Nas dissed Prodigy because P was moving and acting funny. Want to be buddy with everybody so he’s on songs with Nas then on songs with Mega DISSING Nas. Even after that, what could Nas have possibly done to hurt P’s career? P fell off and hurt his OWN career. Went to jail. Then came out with a book that pissed off the WHOLE QB. Even Havoc dissed him.


50 Cent himself has said MULTIPLE times that Nas took him on tour back when he was a nobody. And never asked for anything in return. Nas helped 50, then 50 got blackballed for going at Irv and Ja, of his OWN volition. He got dropped from the J.Lo song because Irv made the call. That had nothing to do with Nas.


Cormega, by his own admission, handled the Firm situation immaturely. Steve Stoute said Mega’s ego was out of control and he acted like Nas owed him something when Nas didn’t owe Mega shyt. After getting HIMSELF kicked out the group, he dedicated half his career to dissing Nas while Nas went on to become one of the most successful rappers of all time. Thats Mega’s fault, not Nas.



Nas been saying the same shyt his entire career. “I’m not going to hold your hand through this. I’ll show you path but YOU have to walk through the door.” nikkas really think Nas owes them a look because he used to stand on the same corners as them. Thats downright laughable. And its very telling that MOST of those same people who were once so bitter now all give him props and call him the King of QB.


If Nas truly never fukked with any of those people back in the day and didn’t want to see them come up, then I guarantee we’d never know the names Mega, Lake, Nature, Blitz, Wiz, Horse, Nashawn, etc. literally ALL of them have been on PLATINUM albums released by Nas. We’d never know the name AZ. We’d never know the name LES. Think about it. Nas could have got Kanye, Just Blaze, Scott Storch, Alchemist, or ANY producer in the entire world to produce the official Nas/Jay-Z collab, but he tapped his boy LES FROM QUEENSBRIDGE to do it.

Nas done put up with more bullshyt in the name of “helping his hood” than half the rappers who get praise for doing so

Nas strikes me as someone that allows men and woman to get their own. That man can be proud, simply say he worked hard to accomplish his dreams but he’d rather tarnish his accomplishment by making it about the assistances he never received from Nas. Everyone would attribute the success directly to Nas. Personally I hate ppl wanting a hand holding session when you struggled to accomplish your goals and know they just need to apply themselves if it’s a true passion; I truly would not change the toughest of obstacles that had to overcome.
