Apparently this seems to be a thing with this unicorn float, there is another article of the same thing happening to a 5 year old boy in the U.S.
The way the head of it is set up makes it act like a sail on the water so it can pick up a bit of speed. :ohhh: Don't let your kids in the ocean on a float guys.
i'm sorry but this is dumb

just watch your fukking kids. she could have drowned right at the beach without that floating device and the same irresponsible parents.

I think it's a girl because of the unicorn and she has a bikini on and she has ponytails.

Parents are prolly gone lose custody of that child. How you not swim out to bring her back when you see that she's too far? Why is she in the water by herself? Smh
Swim out five miles to rescue your child? End up like Naya Rivera.

Even as an adult, I don't mess with flotation toys at the beach. You will mess around, catch a current, and be out to sea. I'm not a strong enough swimmer in the ocean for that. So I can't see how as a parent you would let your kid on one. Is just being in the water not enough? Then for her to go out that far means they weren't even in the water with her.

there has to be more to this story....

Could be or probably not. This happened to me. My uncle and aunt should have been in the water with me, but they said go ahead go in the water, while they chilled. I'm guessing a rip current or something got me, because I was under the water, and next thing I knew I was pretty far out. And I saw them on the beach while I was trying to stay above water. The lifeguard didn't even see me. A big wave must have come in, because a moment later, I was back in shallow enough water where 6 year old me could stand and walk out.
