Yes!!!!! They would have to tweak the way he looks though and that's a slippery slope. Throw Captain Pollution in there too. Have Gaia and Dr. Blight be played some fine actresses. They can do the special effects. Have the dude with the heart ring do some gangster stuff while controlling animals.
Captain Planet does NOT lend itself to movie adaptation.
shyt was basically a 20 minute recycling commercial.
We enjoyed that shyt as kids because we WERE kids it's not even like its Transformers, GI Joe, or even He-Man status where the source material is rich for a movie.
now what I wouldn't mind is rebooting the show for a new generation of kids. But they would have to update that gay ass "Heart" power because that shyt was useless

Better idea to just reboot the animated series and have the creators and animators of the Avatar: TLA / LoK series work on it.And maybe this time Ma-Ti won't be such a bytchmade character.
