"Lumbees" are triracial (white,black,native). They are so admixed that I believe the US government can't officially recognize them as tribe(don't quote me on this). If you come from a colonial black family that originated in MD/VA/the Carolinas, most likely you have some sort of connection to this triracial group.

Just looked at old girls insta. Chavis is an old colonial black family name. In fact, my uncles people are Chavises from Philly.

Some people who claimed to be Lumbee were hiding the fact that they were black. I know for a fact that many of the earlier Chavises were black.

The Lumbee are more Native than the Cherokee currently are.

The two chicks in the photos in this thread are more native than the cacs with Cherokee tribal cards rolling through the South -- or Oklahoma.

Lumbee had too many nikkas and not enough cacs. Still doesn't explain how the Seminole got away with it but the Lumbee didn't.

Boy stop. Their history is shaky and a reason why they have changed their time name THREE TIMES. They a reason why they not federally recognized and that's because they can offer no proof.
Be more native than Cherokees but the Lumbee name originated in 1956
