I did. We were on track for marriage though- already living together. Best choice I’ve ever made. I may not have left my home city if I didn't have someone to do it with. Even though I ended up back home after 3.5 years, I got to live in some great cities! I guess like people have said, depends on what your future is with this person. OR if you’d be willing to be there on your own if something didn’t work out….

:leon:

Did not think about that.

or someone you're getting serious with?

- you're guaranteed a job, a place in a good area but you gotta up and leave where you're currently living.

Yes or no and why?

Sure if

You are young
No kids
Good area.
Met the person before.

I say yes because you are young n not really affecting anybody else's life. if it doesn't work you can bounce back with no problem

I would,
The love and care I would have for her,
She would have to give in equal return,
Especially if the same circumstances where to happen on my end,
Respectively.

This could be a disaster or a fantastic thing. Could go both ways really.

Move out to a strange city, break up with partner, go broke and move back with your parents.

Move out to a strange city, get married, have kids, be happy. (then divorce 10 years after :troll: )

Edit: I'd want to be older with more life experience. Age 30+

Lol. I meant young as in under 35-40. But the biggest factor is kid(s) and having a job lined up at the new location.

About 8 yrs ago, I had a job offer for a Oracle DBA position in SC ( Live in MD ), it was a hookup through my teacher, starting salary was around 50k+. At the time I was working in a warehouse making $8.50. I was ready to bounce of course LOL, but me and my sons mother aren't together and I couldn't leave him behind..so I turned it down. No kid, I would of been gone in a second...lol

My aunt actually did that, she was about 27/28 when she moved with her then-bf to Calgary. They ended up breaking up, she didn't move back, struggled for a bit and met her future husband on a plane flying back to Toronto for a business trip. That being said, she's now happily married and still living in Calgary.

It could've ended badly for her but she pushed on and is now married to a wonderful guy that was from the same city.
