Cuz think about it, moms knows you better than anyone. She'd probably choose the best woman for you, a woman that was a lot like her that you could get along with.

Most people probably ignore their mom and dad, probably one of the reasons the divorce rate is so high.

Well, I'm already married.
But before, when I was single, I would say no.
I would be like, "Nooooo!!!! She has a non-existent booty." Then, my mom would be like, "She's a good church going girl."

I've had times in my life when I dated certain women and my mom would tell me they are no good foe you, but I was caught up with beauty and the flesh and well none worked out.

Arranged marriages are more successful then relationships found in the movies.
Let's not forget that in many instances we are talking about cultures where divorce also means being shunned by your community or worse. Many countries have issues with women being financially paralyzed and therefore bound to their husbands.

BUT - and this is coming from someone who has seen many arranged marriages at different points in time - I think it overall depends on how it's done. If you get to know each other on some kind of "crucial issues" level, can assure neither is a sociopath, and both people still wanna beat...
