Shorty offered to give me driving lessons... i think thats a clue that it don't bother her now, but its on her mind

In fairness, i live in NYC and driving ain't a high priority especially when childless.

He has a decent job, but no car?
For me it probably would be a deal breaker. In my area to get around, realistically he'd have to get a cab. I mean he could ride the bus, but the timing isn't as often as NYC (I think the bus comes every hour, or something like that). And I don't believe there's Uber where I live.

I drive so I wouldn't hold it against him, but he can't use my car to drive his mother to church and all that jazz

He can't drive my truck but I don't want to be driving with him in the passenger so I guess my answer is no.

Wouldn't bother me per se but it raises questions about his financial management skills. Is it cheaper or more expensive to own a car? Depending on his income is he being smart or short-sighted?

Cars as a status symbol is more off putting . (I say this now but I've never been tested by being chatted up by a man in a status car, God forbid I turn into a simp )
