You have no idea what you're talking about...the fans chose Rocky and most of the Nation over DX at Summerslam 98. If he would of been a multiple time champ without any of that stuff, the WWF would of loss massive money in the money years because it means Rock and Austin would have to not exist or be pushed as the top stars.

1st. I know exactly what I’m talking.

2nd. I never once mentioned that he should of gotten a push or the belt over the rock or austin.

Clearly Triple H stayed as an active wrestler long after Austin and Rock moved on. So his reigns would of came sooner or later. He was never an A list star like rock or austin and possibly foley, but he was better than taker and kane. And he was much better than most of the superstars who came after that like batista, orton, edge, del rio and many others.

Again, I’m not a fan. I hate this piece of shyt, but lets not get carried away. He was worthy of being a champion and is a “HOFer, but he was always a B player and should go down as a B player compared to the rocks, austins, hogans and others.

Having a faction of more qualified wrestlers around you pushing you to the sky will always make you look a million times better. Look at Shield with Roman Reigns and Bullet club with Finn Balor.

The receipts say otherwise

Are you drunk? They popped for both him and Triple H and popped loud when Triple H won the belt.

I think he definitely would've been just another wrestler. Remember for years they were pushing HHH to no crowd reaction at all. For like three or four years he was protected booking wise before he started to get accepted as a main event talent. If he wasn't part of the Clique then his push wouldn't have been nearly as sustained and he would've been middle of the pack. I think he still would've had a long career but I just don't see him being a multi-time world champion.

Outside of a few moments he was always boring on the mic. Match wise he was average until around 99-00 and I think that was more due to who he was going against. I just don't see him really catching on like that.

he's right. NYC def choose rock that night. he was a hated heel and they cheered him most of the night. when they weren't supposed to. those rocky chants lead to him turning babyface a month later. yes they both got cheered, but hhh was supposed too.

as for this thread. HHH was a boring fukk until Chyna came along. she saved him, then joining up with michaels to form dx elevated him, then the road dog and x-pac saved him again, cuz if they don't join dx, he'd be back to being a mid card boring guy living off the coattails of his friends.

he didn't become a made guy until 2000, after the foley feud. and even then it took him being paired with stephanie and the mcmahons to get over fully. he was always a guy that needed someone else to get heat from.

Now that you pointed that out

Withouut all those alliances and stuff going on

When he first joined the corporation and turned heel in 99....dude was just a background guy until summerslam 99

Then wen he finally won the belt....he was a boring ass champ and flop that they had to bring back dx and put him in stephanies heel turn

He always needed to lean on somthing
