could Twitter, Facebook, TSC, Tout, etc ruined some of the storylines and happenings of the Attitude Era exposing the wackness

I truly believed that era shined because people just watched each week and didnt have a platform to truly voice their opinion on a broad scale

agreed, it definitely would not have been the same at all. most of the biggest moments of the attitude era were unexpected and a surprise, interwebz would've ruined it. especially with all these tweets and shyt.

you would've have bischoff tweeting raw results

Most people would have shytted on the product just like now, but during ppvs like the 98 King of the Ring, WrestleMania 14,17 and etc the social media would have helped in that aspect. Holy shyt would have been trending heavy after that Taker and Mankind match.

I think it would have done fine.

With all the fukkery cokeboy, rusoo, bytchoff were pulling off, the stories still would have happened.

You might have even had higher ratings because of the trending garbage.

Attitude Era kings like Austin and Rock would of used what OTHER wrestlers would say on Social Media as a way to bury them and just made a fool out of them during their segments.

Rest is just Wrestling Observer techniques being used in other capacities but with Youtube being the biggest template with the instant whining reviews and video reactions.

The people that critique the product and religiously follow every detail are such a small percentage of the fan base that it really wouldn't matter. Most people that watch wrestling are casual fans, and they don't care nearly as much as we do. They just want to be entertained.

It's the same way in every entertainment genre.

May not have ruined it in general, but it would have ruined it somewhat for me. That shyt was :lawd: because EVERYTHING was unexpected when I was a youngin. I knew that shyt wasn't real, but it was so good and unpredictable that I was hooked. Being able to access a bunch of shyt and overanalyze it like we do now would have me looking back on the era in a totally different (more negative) way.

Rick Rude appearing on both shows on one Monday wouldn't have been as :gladbron: if there were reports of him being backstage at Nitro.

I would've dropkicked Meltzer if he spoiled Hennig turning on the Horsemen at Fall Brawl.
