No the Lakers issue is that they have small guards and old washed wings. The lakers need two use those second rounders to get at least to hustle defenders with size and a stretch 5 if possible.

:mjlol: Wall is the lesser of two evils but dude ain’t it. He’s (probably) not as stubborn but he definitely has just as much pride to what he believes he can do. His shot selection isn’t as bad. his defense is better. I think he’ll respond well to playing with Lebron and he’s cool with Ariza

But whatever send the draft picks and take these old nigguhs form Houston and we’ll do the dirty work LA is afraid to do to Russ

Lakers have been doing this since the 60s…

wilt
Kareem
Shaq
Horry
Fox
Gary Payton
Karl Malone
Pau
Dwight
Nash
Mitch Richmond
Tried to get CP3…

Very rarely in the Lakers history have they went with a “youth movement”. Idk why folks like to act like the Lakers signing big time free agents didn’t become a thing until LeBron joined them
Maybe because no big time free agent actually signed there since Malone+Payton
Lakers fans took a lot of shyt when Kobe couldn't get anyone to go there. When Carmelo had a chance to leave NY in 2014, a lot of people thought he'd go to LA. When he didn't, LA fans acted like they never wanted him in the first place.

They forgot about trying to court them so they have created an imaginary narrative that they've always built from the bottom.

He'd help because it's politically feasible for him to come off the bench. He doesn't have the same cachet as Russ.

:mjlol: Y’all still ain’t learn.

John Wall coming off an Achilles tear and not playing basketball in 2 years is not better than Russ.

He played last year. And he recovered from that achilles 2 years ago. He could have played in 2019-20 but the Wizards record was so bad it made no sense to risk it.

I don't disagree with you, it's just a good front office can adjust to changing needs and this one didn't, they needed to shift strategy at least somewhat.

i don't think john wall is the greatest pg ever or anything like that....

but russ is legit one of the most rockheaded players ever. at this point, he's cost LA more games than he's ever going to win for them. you could replace russ with just about anyone else in the game and you'd be better off. you can't tell dude shyt and he demands high usage and minutes like he's a perennial champ or something

he's lucky LA has Pelinka and LeBron unwilling to hold the L on bringing him in. he'd be getting paid to stay home anywhere else for playing like this

wall trying to make it work in washington forever probably hits different than one up and down year with russ :manny: @FAH1223

dude is being asked to adapt his game while playing alongside a career winner in lebron by simply playing a bit slower and he legit can't handle it. its actually wild how russ is still somehow getting the kid gloves to an extent too imo

guys get branded uncoachable for far less and its only january
