I haven’t seen it, but Bonfire of the Vanities was a notorious flop as a movie. Both critically and financially.

I have no clue how this film was nominated for best picture, but it was just awful. This is a major cast in an interesting setting and it was just so damn boring. I have no clue how it's sitting at a 92% RT score, but I can't think of a more disappointing film than this
