Not up for debate, Dayne was not the best player in the country. Don't care what records he broke. He should always and forever shop at Dillard's
:mjlol:

Warrick was the best player in the country but you dont win the heisman playing 8 games :camby:

No nikka you GTFOH

Everybody knows Peter Warrick deserved it that year in 99.

And what about Wienke's old ass winning over LT running for 2k and 20tds and leading TCU to a 10-2?
this is a real snub. LT was by far the best player in college

The thing that makes the Gino one understandable is Miami played SDSU the last week of the season so the last thing a lot of voters saw was Marshall getting shut down and plus, the Heisman always is attached to winning. But Gino is probably the worst Heisman winner ever
Marhsall didnt play that last game.

San Diego being 5-5-1 prolly hurt dude.

And what about Wienke's old ass winning over LT running for 2k and 20tds and leading TCU to a 10-2?
so you just gonna ignore Weinke had a 3-1 TD/INT ratio (33 TDs to 11 INTs), 160 QB Rating, 4k plus passing yards, 10 yds per completion AND attempt. And that was against quite possibly the greatest U teams, Ga Tech, UF, Clemson, upstart Louisville. Way better resume against waaaaay stiffer comp breh

While LT balled out versus the likes of UTEP, Fresno State, Nevada, Arkansas State, Tulsa, Rice & San Jose St....real murderers row right there. But his talent was undeniable
San Diego being 5-5-1 prolly hurt dude.
lack of strong comp was the excuse they used against him and later on McNair which everyone could see, if he was in a major D-1 he'd still shine

low key, McFadden deserves a mention....finished second twice and the second year, he had better stats than the year before (lost to Troy Smith then Tebow)

great call and I really, REALLY believe AD should've won but............(and I know it's a team sport) Matt threw 5 TDs when he led his team vs OU. AD only avg'd 3.3 ypc that game and looked mortal. But not disputing he should have won

That was after the Heisman ceremony, so that doesn't even matter. Plus, that game doesn't exist in the records :troll:

In 94, Ki Jana Carter was CLEARLY better than Rashaan Salaam but got shafted because Salaam had 2,000 yards

In 02, Larry Johnson set B1G records, including running for over 2,000 yards. Carson Palmer got it despite not doing anything that hasn't been done before.

I just don't know how the same logic that gets a PSU RB shafted in 94 doesn't also get another PSU RB the Heisman in 02, but hey, whatever.

Coli gonna Coli. McCaffery was the best RB in the nation this year and would have put up even better numbers if Stanford didn't pull some reverse Varsity Blues shyt and put in Remound Wright inside the 10 the first 6 games.

Rex Grossman should have won, they gave it to that bamma Eric Crouch cuz he "had a heisman moment" and caught that pass for a touchdown at the end of the season.

They robbed Rex cuz he was a sophmore
