What am I denying friend? I havent stated ONE TIME in this thread that their findings were correct or incorrect. Im simply waiting for how you know they're findings are accurate? You dont know?

Where have I denied the "truth behind science"? I believe I can speak for myself. What I asked you my brethren, is how do you know that the measurements of age are accurate? Do you not have an answer? Saying "they're smarter than me" is a weak position to take. Because as my analogy exemplified, your parents were not always right when you were a child. Why are you comparing children with no knowledge of the world to scientists that have spent their entire lives studying a subject? Do you not realize this is a terrible comparison? I'll put it in a religious context so you can understand. A Priest/Bishop/Pope who has spent his entire life studying scripture is more likely to be informed and more knowledgeable about the Bible than you are, correct? Same principles apply. Those scientists that spent their entire lives studying the subject are much more knowledgable than the rest of us and have a much higher probability of being correct than the common man, like yourself.

Naw but Im not asking for proof. Have you seen me ask for proof to prove that their findings are correct? I've been asking you how YOU know that their findings are accurate? So far all I've gotten is that they're smarter than me so somehow that means they're findings are accurate. This is a terrible position to take, but then again its a similar position to what religious folk take in respect to their religions

We can take science classes and apply mathematics to find the accurate estimated dates. Its a process that can be replicated. Its a process that can be taught. It is a process that can be discovered on its own without outside help. If you know the basic fundamentals of how the world works, you can be isolated and still come to the same conclusion as these scientists.

It is not even close to being the same as religion. Religion cannot be proven. It cannot be replicated. If you were isolated from the rest of the world, you would not have the same findings as those in the Bible. It just doesn't work. Thats why we are all frustrated by your ignorance. You are either trolling really hard to piss us off or you just really don't understand the concept of science. Maybe you just enjoy living with ignorance. It must be very blissful for you to live your life in that manner.

as i have pointed out several times now Im not a scientist who is an expert in radioactive dating, so no. these scientists believe it or not do these tests multiple times before the report what they have found. they were probably really excited to have found a rock this old and they reported it to the media, then butt hurt christians like you read the article and feel like it is an attack on your religion and get all defensive and start making arguments against the findings that barley make sense.

In correct. Just because they "study scripture" does not mean they're studying correctly. Which is why they're are protestants vs catholics that have priests, bishops etc... that study the same scripture but come to different conclusions. In short, they're being taught a certain way to look at scripture and thats how they view it during their study.

And yet you do not know how these mathematics automatically lead one to know that what they find is accurate... My point all along friend. Just because something is taught does not make it correct. Just because they apply to a "mathematical formula" that "leads" us to the age of the object, does not mean that the mathematical formula is correct. It does not mean that the answer to the mathematical formula is correct. If it did, you would have answered my question directly.

Im not hurt at this finding. I was just wondering how people automatically assume they're correct when (allegedly) they do not believe anything unless it has proof. I would think proof would consist more than a title (scientist) but I guess not
