1. Aokigahara Forest - Suicide Forest

They find a 100 bodies here a year! They even have the mafia paying homeless people to go rob the bodies at night. The Forest is said to attract suicidal people because of a book published in the 1950's about a couple whom took their lives there. :merchant:

3. The Overtoun Bridge - The Dog Suicide Bridge

doggy-death-bridge.jpg

Overtoun_Bridge_Dog.jpg

For reasons we can't begin to possibly understand, hundreds and hundreds of dogs have killed themselves there. It appears that dogs have been plunging off of Overtoun since the early 60s, at a rate of one animal a month... bringing the total number today to around 600 mutts, who for some reason, decided to end it all.

To further drive the point home, it has been observed that certain dogs that jumped off the bridge and survived, fukking climbed back up and THREW THEMSELVES TO THEIR DEATHS ALL OVER AGAIN.

4. San Zhi Resort

The exclusive San Zhi resort in Taiwan was supposed to be the destination for bored, rich folk who always wondered what it would be like to live inside an over-sized hockey puck. Construction of Pod City started around the 80s but was quickly shut down after a series of mysterious on-site fatal accidents...

Very little information is know about the 90 or so pods there but NONE of the locals want to go anywhere near them.

Dolls were the collections of a man named Don.

In the 1950s Don Julian was preaching the word of the Lord Jesus Christ at a time when Mexicans weren't willing to hear it. With it presumed that only anointed priests had the right to speak of Jehovah in all his glory, people took offense to Julian's liberal God talk, to the extent that he was repeatedly beaten up for his sins. Around this time he began his strange habit of combing dustbins for dolls, which he lovingly collected to--obviously –-ward off evil spirits.

The old story goes that a girl once drowned on the island, and by collecting dolls Julian believed he could keep at bay the demons that were trying to get to her in the afterlife. The girl's existence has never actually been proven, though.

Don Juan's story came to a close in 2001 when he was found drowned, aged 80, in the location just off the island's coast where he'd always claimed the little girl had died. Now only his collection of plastic-born babies remains, enduring the relentless heat. His son maintains the eerie island, inviting tourists that are willing to make the long trip to come and visit his sprawling, degraded collection.

See more here.

Sedlec Ossuary: Czech Republic

inline_michel_cizek_afp_getty_images_72998098.jpg

The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Roman Catholic chapel in Sedlec, Czech Republic. It also contains the skeletal remains of about 40,000 human beings dispersed throughout the interior in artistically arranged designs.

The most notable creations made of human bones are the chandelier in the center of the room and the coat of arms of the Schwarzenbergs -- the most blue-blooded of Bohemian aristocrats -- on the left.

It's difficult not to let your imagination run wild when pondering the sort of sick mind that conceived of things like a chandelier of human bones.

But the real motive behind it all is quite prosaic: it was simply a matter saving space.

These bones were freely given from the bodies of devout Roman Catholics all over Europe who clamored to be buried here after the Abbot of Sedlec went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 1278 and brought back soil from Golgotha where Jesus had supposedly been crucified.

So many wanted to be buried in Golgotha's soil that the chapel was turned into an ossuary. The remains of the previously buried were dug up and rearranged in the 16th century: a practical if somewhat disquieting way to use limited burial space in a thrifty way.

Open daily (except December 24 and 25) 9 a.m.-4 p.m., give or take an hour, depending on the date. Check the website for the updated schedule. Admission is 60 koruna (about US$3) per person. It is worth noting that the council in charge of the ossuary's preservation considers it a sacred place.

Alots of speculation about this one if its real of fake, but you cannot deny it being pretty damn creepy.

Trying to find the story on the events leading up to the demon. Stay tuned.
