But they literally make a big deal about their reconciliation being the reason he was the one to wear the gauntlet and snap everybody back. That actually would have helped the story.

Hate to be repetitive but reference my quote. You already have one of the longest films ever for a theatrical run & your solution is to make it longer. It's just not feasible.

With as much money as it made, people forget that the runtime actually limited the number of showings and required special accomodations. Make it longer & that's less revenue from less showings & there's no way in hell that was ever going to happen. As the other breh said, a Director's Cut is the only way to get what you're asking for because you're never going to get everything you want with this many characters & plot points in one film.
