I got some vibrams, I never knew I could use them for lifting. When you wear these at the gym, do you do anything else besides lifting?

Any cardio I do....if I run with regular shoes I get shin splints. :bryan:
Interesting. Question, do you get the shin splints right away and is it on the front, slightly inner part? Or do you get them over time? Ill get shin pain right away if I run, but not where everyone else gets them, which is more muscle pain and slightly on the outside.

I went and got fitted for custom running shoes, and that didnt help. So then i got my running form analyzed, and they said that i run in a way that will always cause pain. :dwillhuh:

Im gonna try running in my vibrams.

Depends how fast I run and the last time I ran. I remember when I was jogging every other day in running shoes they start instantly. If I haven't did anything in a minute and finally kick it up to full speed then they will slowly kick in. Be careful on getting your toes used to running in Vibrams...they will be sensitive and might callous up. It's been a while since I had shin splints...so I can remember where specifically the pain was. :mjpls:

i only have one pair of old adidas i wear to the gym. to be honest that was the only pair i had at the time and i just stuck with them out of habit.

but i always heard chuck taylors were good for lifting because it's flat so it's almost like lifting barefoot.

I wear New Balance running shoes. I'm lifting less with legs because of issues.

Sometimes, I'll wear Nike hiking boots when going heavy. I wore Adidas Sambas for the longest time, but they aren't great for my feet/knees when jogging on the treadmill (for warming up.

I tried running on the indoor track in my vibrams today and NO shin pain. That's amazing, you just saved me a bunch of money. I wonder what this says about my feet.
