This isnt news at all though, they've been doing dark matches after 205 since it launched last year
When I went to watch Smackdown we saw Nakamura and Ziggler after to close out the show and they announced that as the dark match when SD went to commercial and just before the SD main event and before 205 and they were doing for like 6 weeks. They had Cena and Ambrose before. No different than Raw closing out with a Cena match or any dark match to send the crowd home happy from 2014-2016

This isnt really anything indicative of the show's current state, they've always done it like that
