My friend, when Stone Cold took over the show in 97, the ratings were shytty after he took over from all that Bret/Shawn/Taker shyt which bombed against Sting and the Nwo as the built up face post WM 13. It took Mike Tyson being added 10 months later and that going mainstream to get those views up..so before becoming all harsh and just writing the women off after 3 months, stay logical and be realistic.
