'Women who have "outgrown" their partners'. How young women mature faster than their males

Two things:
Yes, some men weren't raised well by their parents. No maturity, just expected to fall into a good job and to find a wife that will take care of everything else.
But also... some of it is cap. A lot of women are just as immature as men... the only difference is that when women are immature we call it "cute" and "feminine". And we expect their boyfriend/husband to take care of it. This is an area where men are held to a higher standard.

Relations in the US die a slow painful death because the couple is either the exact same age or one is slightly older by a couple years. That is a recipe for disaster and will result in the woman outgrowing the guy, or the guy getting tired of her because she's aging rapidly.

I get some dudes are bums but all this talk about ambition is neo-liberal, late capitalism bullshyt. I don't remember this rhetoric being nearly as pronounced 20 years ago, tho I was admittedly a teen then. Just seems like Gen X women weren't OD pressed about your five year plan or retirement savings. Some of it is obviously due to cost of living and income inequality, some is it is women angling for that IG power couple look.
there's not enough good jobs for everyone now and thats before AI really ramps up so I dunno mayne, maybe more support for boys early so they grow into ambitious men? not to mention men see other men who were straight losers, users & abusers stay wit a girl so that sends mixed singals. "why i gotta do all this self-improvement when some dudes don't have to?"

I read all those, nothing to do with growing sounds like all those men didn't have much ambition, no one trying to be with a complacent person. I'm a man and I'm the same way, if a bih legacy is just to be flat out average, then yea we aren't compatible
It’s tough because I think generalizing men as slower to mature than women isn’t the whole story, but I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t notice some of this in everyday life. All of the girls I know in that 23-29 age range (whether it’s my sister, female cousins or friends), seem to have their lives in order, and are much more accomplished than the guys that I know in that age range. The girls are college educated, and most if not all of them have promising careers, such as financial analysts, lawyers, (med school to become nurses/doctors), etc. The guys in that same age group that I know might be employed, but most work meaningless jobs, or are unemployed all together.
I definitely think that guys nowadays in their 20s are slower to get their lives together than girls are, and a lot of them are aimless and lack ambition and drive. Maybe something flips for them in their 30s, but a lot of guys are clearly behind girls now when it comes to education, drive and ambition. Some of the girls that I know in their 20s either refuse to date guys in that age range, or actually prefer older men, who have their lives together.

Lots of the women in that thread probably curved the dude who lead with his "boring" ass life plan and got with the fun guy......now they realize you can't pay rent with weed and swagger. So who really grew up late ?
