Keep it 100 with me are u agile?
Yes. I'll prolly upload a video some time in the future, i have an athlete background and have tried to stay agile as possible while building lean mass over the years. I can still dunk I can still run fast. I don't train or move like a bodybuilder, I train like an athlete with mainly explosive movements and full body(which is cardio on its own). I can do bout 5 muscle ups atm, striving to do 10. No cap, you can believe if you wanna believe
(again I'll prolly upload a vid in the GYM sub forum in the future).
When I first started yeh i was doing all the basic bench press, shoulder press and all that shyt but after a while that shyt get boring and it DO make you stiff especially if you not stretching regularly. So after a while I switched to a more calisthenics/ full body routine with just a bit of weights here and there. That was around when I focused on boxing seriously and If you know bout combat training you know it's counterproductive being too serious with weights.
Tbh I'd drop weights altogether if legs wasn't challenging to grow with strictly bodyweight movements and wasn't bout to be on that chicken leg wave. Pistol squats are cool but nothing builds the legs like heavy squats and deadlifts.
Same with arms because I'm 6'2 but got a 6'8 wingspan so its just a bytch to fill them out. Was a buck 50 at 17 lanky as shyt. On God it wasn't even for the females like that as I had no problems with them before. A nikka just got tired of being the tall skinny nikka not fitting clothes properly so that's why I started hitting the gym in the first place.
I can build my back easy with different variations of pullups, shoulders with handstands/ halfway handstands(upright pushups), chest with decline pushups/diamonds but my arms and legs need more strenuous resistance to grow so that's where weights come in.
