Believe it or not HIV/AIDS is not typically transferred through saliva any if at all. Blood is generally the main culprit and to a lesser degree genital secretions as well. For example you will not get HIV by drinking after someone that has it etc. There is actually literature out there about this. It actually not as easy of a disease to catch as people think.

SARS can be transmitted in through saliva though.
