I get what you are saying, but you have to consider the timeline.
She is about to leave and is drunk, Kai tells her to go sleep it off in one of the rooms upstairs and she goes up there.
Kai knew she was inebriated and in no good condition to be getting in an Uber because he probably felt it'd be dangerous seeing the state she was in.
That suggests she likely did not give Seck consent and was in no way, shape, or form in any mood to have sex.
If you were in that same situation, you'd know your friend did something egregious. You wouldn't be thinking about his "side of the events" because you saw her about to leave without your friend in sight, you didn't see her and your friend clicking that night, you sent her upstairs alone, and you told security to go check up on her.
You'd know your friend likely did something foul especially if the girl tells you she got a rape kit done and went to the police.

Pretty much the same way he handled it, only thing I wouldn’t have done is I wouldn’t have been texting back and forth with her and I wouldn’t have went on stream to discuss this at all
He did the right thing, he talked to his legal team then spoke to the police, not really much he could do there
After the initial texts I don't think he should text back and forth with her, but not addressing it on stream would be damn near impossible.
He's a public figure with millions of fans, and streams for hours almost every day. And it's live, so it's not as if his mods can edit out comments or quesitons about it.
The only thing he could do is:
1. Address it publicly.
2. Not stream until this is resolved.
And #2 isn't really an option because this is how he makes his money.

The first thing your lawyer will tell you to do is dodge her calls. You don't get in contact with an alledged victim who's trying to get information. She goes to law enforcement and the lawyer deals with them.
No one is defending rape. People are just understanding Kai's position. Anyone's first instinct is to protect themselves and their friends. He didn't even know what happened or if she's telling the truth but you want him to make a citizens arrest and drive his boy to the precinct.
He isn't being accused of rape and the victim even fell back from saying he knew what happened. The vitriol should be directed at the suspect. He committed no crime based on what we know. He didn't handle things optimally but given his age and the shock he must have felt that's understandable.
This is a legal matter and should have been handled that way. She knew who the perpetrator was so she should have given that information to police. Kai and her should not have been in contact after the incident.
