I think he was a 21 year old who panicked in the face of a serious accusation of a friend, and didn't know how to process the severity of situation, and chose to immediately go to the side of his friend.
Doesn't excuse his behavior at all, just how I think it went down. He simply should've gave up his name, and let the police handle it.

I highly doubt anything will happen to his streaming career. The gamer/streaming space is full off sexual assaulters, apologists and manosphere types.
Kai is not the first or even close to worst of 'offenders' (he's not actually an offender but just a callous dumbass from the looks of it). He might be judged a bit more harshly because he's black but nothing significant will happen and will be back like nothing happened within few weeks.

A 21 years old is more than old enough to understand the potential ramifications of lying to protect an alleged rapist. I couldn't imagine myself making that same decision at 13 years old much less 21.
