The biggest problem here isn't harassment;
- It's people living vicariously (is their a strong word than vicariously through their phones and computers). I'm sick of hearing people equating Twitter to the real world. You can actually close the dog-on account never hear any of that stuff. People are essentially connecting their life force (for the lack of a better word) to a synthetic computer program.
- Young women are too "empowered" by their sexuality. She was influenced by something sick, to think being explicitly sexual, in front of the whole world, would elevated her, in life.
- She had mental issues, that were untreated, that didn't help her situation. That's probably why she went down this route and that's my reason to feel sorry for her. I cannot imagine goin' that deep into depression. I've dealt with it and I've made some bad decisions while goin' through it.
I want to go
in about the way we sexualize females, the failure of our ability to address the mentally ill, porn (
Yes, I'm guilty of indulging in it), etc.
This is a crazy world, brehs...
Damn, that's fukking sad.. I'll go ahead and say she was a
beautiful young woman..
But, on the inside, she had a lot more going on.
That's the problem; she obviously knew this and thought she'd be praised for doing the video (see
"Pornstar status!!!").
