I JUST caught up with this, for some reason I didn't watch it when it was airing. WHY did they cancel this? It was well written, multiple storyline arcs integrating, and it portrays all the characters well and develops them as the story progresses. What the fukk, between this, Spectacular Spiderman and now Avengers EMH, Marvel stay cutting off their best animated shows.

The ending with X from the future showing Apocalypse taking over after they thought they saved the world was

Emma Frost shattering into pieces :sadbron:

Great show.....the follow ups were gonna be good. The Age of Apocalypse for Season 2 and the House of M for Season 3. Damn shame they wouldn't let it have a run.

Yup, everything was set up perfectly. Wanda growing into her own, for the eventual House of M adaption; Age Of Apocalypse with Sinister and Archangel already planting the seeds in the 1st season; Hellfire Club and Shaw being introduced; Phoenix potential return; Cyclops and Wolverine and their eventual conflicts in leadership, etc

This had the potential to be one of the GOATs :sadcam:

Sinister had a good little role...really fukked Angel up. Wanda was loyal and of course they had to vilify Magneto in some way since he was proven right almost the whole run..Crazy Polaris in the future was a good episode too. I don't really like the Emma Frost obsession that Marvel has but she served her purpose and of course they had to try to make her a hero even though she's pretty selfish to the core.

About Emma
Apparently they were gonna bring her back in season 2 somehow to commence with the Jean/Scott/Emma storyline. I heard Beast was gonna piece her body back together or something crazy like that and that a little bit of her lived on in Jeans mind when she saved them :skip:

They had lots of designs ready for season2 as well ... many of the AoA versions of the characters leaked, such as

Plus I saw designs sketches of Cable, Deadpool, etc
