I completely forgot about his character several minutes if not seconds after he delivered his last line.

Anyway.......

This movie is by far the most entertaining movie of the year maybe last several years. Scorcese made the movie I didn't think he would make again. Straight ridiculous mayhem around every corner. Leo does deserve an Oscar for this. This is maybe my favorite movie from him. Awesome film....that lemon lude scene is fukkin classic. Cannot believe they were able to film that shyt to perfection like they did. 9.5/10

Loved the movie. And anybody who really thinks the movie is ONLY about the fukkery let the message of the flick go right over their heads. Any other year without Chiwetol Ejiofor and 12 Years A Slave I'd be championing Leo and Marty for Oscars (Leo especially, one of his best performances)

It's a very enjoyable movie that I know I'll rewatch a lot of times, but at the same time, I don't know if I could call it classic like people have said cuz it didn't really wrap up as well as I hoped.

Didn't feel concise. When it ended, I wasn't sure what I got from it besides simple entertainment. :yeshrug:.

First, WoWS is a great film imo. Scorsese's best in a long time.

But IMDB has been so overrun with fanboys that the ratings of any recent film is worthless.

The message is that at the end of the day White collar crime is still crime. Leo and his crew were basically dope boys in suits, the whole office was one big frat house. They moved like hustlers, talked like hustlers, but they just happened to be peddling something society deems more acceptable. People think that the movie glorified their behavior, it doesn't. The movie just doesn't judge them, you are supposed to know that what they're doing is wrong without being told, that point seems to be flying over people's heads. Even in that scene where they are cutting the secretary's hair of for money I felt uncomfortable, money turned them in to disgusting/vile creatures. Too many people were relying on Scorcese to explicitly condemn the characters when as an audience we should know what they were doing was morally wrong. It's an examination of decadence, how can you attempt to examine decadence in a non decadent manner?
