The Beats on that Juicy J album were trash. He really needs to find a producer who can give him some classic sounding music because his Rhymes have always been basic so he's the kind of rapper that will live and die by his production and if that production is not classic level his career is over

Would be dope to see Wiz return to this style for a more mature album.

that beat sounds very 2005ish
That sh1t would not fly at all in 2024
And he lyrically he sounds very "Philly" on this track- the irony of it being called Pittsburgh style.

I hear what you saying tho - but its that energy that he's lacking not necessarily the cadence/style.

No way this would fly nowadays :russ: You phrased it better. An album with this energy would be a nice change of pace, but he's set either way.

If a rapper can...
get their mouth/teeth/body fixed
get their parents out the hood
get their kids into better schools
provide opportunities for their people
greatly reduce the risk of ever going back to the hood/poverty/struggle

they have done their job
some can do it with 1 album
some can do it with 1 song

lets thank them for whatever time/contributions they gave to the genre and wish them the best.
Of course NONE of them will ever admit they fell off- thats not how rappers are built.
but yeah - I don't think Wiz is coming back - He's a smart guy who seems to handle his business and once that "hunger light" turns off its difficult to reignite it.
Its not impossible but highly unlikely

Wiz fanbase is like 25-33 year olds

He didn’t fall off at all, he’s just not “that guy” but he’s far from what I’d consider falling off.
