Torrey Smith is gonna cost 5 mil this season? :scusthov: I'd rather just roll with Mike Wallace on the cheap wr option....
Torrey isn't bad. His hands were inconsistent during the season but he can definitely still fly and stretch the field.

He made some really big catches for us down the stretch and was very good in the playoffs.

Hope he does well for you guys.

Is Worley anything worth being potentially excited about?

I think he'd be better suited as a safety, but our pass rush ain't shyt which means he was attacked a lot....seemed too stiff to play cb to me....

That excerpt that I posted earlier, I felt like it was another "Hurney gonna Hurney" again because it looked liked basically gave up Worley for free since the Eagles were going to cut Torrey anyway to free up money

I was talking to my boy, he brought up some good points though

It's a good trade for both teams, Philly has a good young core of receivers that need more PT

$5 mil is a good gamble on a guy who could be a better version of Ted Ginn. Maybe not as fast as him, but still has enough speed to take the top off of a defense. His numbers didn't look good, but Torrey being able to run off guys helped Alshon eat last season

The $5 million may seem a lot, but waiting on him to get cut may get us into a bidding war with another team that may drive his price up. Guys like Allen Robinson (who's coming off of a major injury) and Sammy Watkins (can he stay healthy?) are about to get $11-12 million from some team. If giving up Worley was the price, I'm not gonna get mad at it since we all been frustrated with him. Who knows, maybe he'll pan out late like Norman did, but with Luke and Cam in the midst of their primes I don't think they want to wait much longer to see if he'll figure it out

Yea, I don’t think there was any way we were getting Robinson or Watkins after looking at what Evans just got and I think Smith would’ve been more than 5 milli on the open market, plus there’s no guarantee he’d even come here if he had the opportunity to test free agency. Same could be said for Wallace. I’m fine with Smith.

Still need to go WR early in the draft, and even if we go after Sherman or Norman is cut and we get him, we need to draft another corner in a draft that’s deep in CBs.
