With the latest shooting, it's obvious children are very important to us...

With that said. People who decide not to have kids are frowned upon by society. plenty of people's mothers, grandmothers, etc beg them to have kids, and are upset if they choose not to. There has only been one president elected all time who didn't have a wife and kids. Getting married and having kids are signs of a responsible well rounded individual. We will probably elect a gay person before we elect a bachelor, why?
Where are you getting this from? If I choose not/cant to have children society tosses me in the bushes:why: What does this have to do with gay people seeing as though they can still conceive or adopt.
I don't think people with more kids are better contributors to society, but I think people who purposely choose not pass on their own genes, are going against natural biology.
:rational: The moment we begin to use our "natural biology" as a basis for building a society, most of our modern comforts and technology wont make the cut.
I have no problem with harvesting eggs or whatever else, but if we all did what was natural and used the tools given to us by god, evolution, or whatever you belive in, there would be no need for those types of procedures.
In other words you want a world where healthy men and women with fertility challenges are thrown in the bushes.

They won't throw you in the bushes, but go tell your mom or grandma that your never having kids and I'm sure they will give you the :what: face. I only think it relates to gay people because they just like you are purposely choosing not to have children, yet they get a pass for it.

Name something we live with that doesn't promote natural biology

:mindblown: when did I say that. That's the problem with these conversations. If I'm not praising gay people for their lifestyle choice, it means I am hatefull or intolerant. I don't think anybody should be thrown in the bushes but I think society is very hypocritical.

:rational: I think you're making a hasty generalization. Why would every or most parent/grandparents react that way? Especially those with large families...why would it matter? As for gays, I dont see why/how you continue to assert that being gay = choosing not to have children. If you hypothetically mother gives you the :wtf: for choosing to have children, she'd react the same way if you were gay. Gays can still have children.

Promote? I was talking strictly about you people going "against natural biology" but I'll list them:
The microchip, telescopes, guns, airplanes, hospitals, complex math, transistors, boats, etc. My point no one can really say whats "natural" for Humanity. Whats "natural" for us? Whatever is currently physically/mentally possible or is it what we can accomplish without technological/outside aide?

What you quoted was referring to individuals who have fertility issues not homos:skip:. I was poking holes in your appeal to Human Nature argument, taking it to the logical conclusion is the world every adopted it.

Yeah you think society is hypocritical because you're seeing the world through pinhole camera. A whole where children are shunned by their parents for not giving birth to children, where children are held up with such high regards, where getting married and having children signals your worth in society and place where our #1 goal in life is to pass on our genes. This isnt 4004 B.C. breh. :heh:

Wow look who's attended an intro to logics class:pachaha:

I'm not making any generalizations, just speaking on society. You can choose to ignore what's in front of your face if you want to. But reality is much different from your philosophical assertions.

Having children and a family is seen as a sign of maturity and responsibilty. You may disagree with it, but that is the way society sees it. Society has ways seen it this way because it promotes reproduction and the success of the human race.

All of what you listed complements our natural biology. None of that goes against how we got here, and none of it prevents us from carrying out our natural biological processes. Homosexuity on the other hand goes against our natural biology and evolution. Put it this way. If all humans started using microscopes there would be no effect on our well being. If all humans became homosexual then we would cease to exist.

Doesn't matter what year it is. Human lives are still judged by the legacy we leave(our children). Name a person we praise for their success who doesn't have kids.

Like I said only once have we elected a president that didn't have a family. Those who forego marriage and reproduction are viewd as less responsible and out of touch with the norm. Again you may disagree with it but this is what society has decided. That is until someone says they are gay, then the criteria for success and responsibilty changes.

:mjpls: what did your intro to logic book tell you about strawmen cause you sure like to create a bunch of them.
